Corned Beef and Cabbage Rolls
Corned beef and cabbage is an Irish staple and I like the version Christina from SweetPeasKitchen made here. These are egg rolls filled with cabbage, corned beef and Monterrey jack cheese served with thousand island dressing. Yum!
Potato Leek Soup With Shamrock Croutons
A bowl of hearty potato and leek soup will go down treat on those days when it’s still cold out. The Shamrock crouton makes it more festive, but I’m not sure just 1 is enough for me though. IT looks so delicious!
Shepherd’s Pie
You can’t get more traditional Irish than Shepherd’s pie and it perfect for St. Patrick’s day. You can prepare ahead and freeze until the big day!
This shepherd’s pie recipe is filled with beef, veggies, mashed potatoes and red wine. Get the directions from Gimme Some Oven!
Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage
Another corned beef and cabbage recipe, but this one is a more traditional Irish recipe and it’s made in the slow cooker. That means almost hands-free cooking on St. Patrick’s day and a delicious meal.
With only 5 ingredients (one of which is beer) you’ll get a dinner recipe that’s cheap, easy and yummy!
Guinness Soup
Question: What do get when you combine a French onion soup with Guinness beer? Answer: This quick and delicious Guinness soup!

Slow Cooker Irish Beef Stew
I love making slow cooker recipes, so when I came across this Slow cooker Irish stew recipe, I knew I had to include it in this post.
It features tender beef, potatoes, veggies and red wine. Since this recipe needs to slow cook for 6 hours it’s best to start making this early in the morning.
Dublin Coddle
Dublin Coddle is a traditional Irish stew made from bacon, sausages, onions and potatoes cooked in the oven or a Dutch oven. This a delicious, warming recipe for this time of year, when it can still be pretty chilly outside.
Serve with a piece of crusty Irish soda bread!
St. Patrick’ s Day Chicken Pot Pie
This scrumptious chicken pot pie has a shamrock (clover) in the middle of the crust. The pies are filled with chunky chicken pieces, veggies and a creamy white sauce.
This recipe takes a bit of work, but the end result is yummy and looks fabulous!
